About The Club

Individual Membership

Membership in the New Albany Walking Club is open to women and men of all ages. We meet every Sunday morning at 7:30 on the patio  or inside in the lounge of the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany, 150 W. Main St.,  New Albany, OH 43054. Our walks range from 2 - 5 miles and will go through the scenic paths of the New Albany communities. Members will enjoy the camaraderie of others during walks.

We will meet on the patio under the tent or inside the lounge area near the fireplace depending on the weather at The Heit Center at 7:30 am on Sunday mornings.  A face mask is required in the Heit Center will have small groups walk together and leave a few minutes apart to help in maintaining social distancing. Remember to hydrate before coming to walk and while walking. Please bring your own water bottle that can be refilled while inside the building.

Membership Fee & Application

Membership in the New Albany Walking Club is $25 per year.  

About Our Workouts

No athlete is too slow or too fast. No athlete will walk alone. We focus on walking only. This is not a running club. We walk every Sunday morning throughout the year meeting at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany at 7:30 am. We meet inside the building in the lounge area or outside depending on the weather to gather for our workouts before heading out to walk on the beautiful New Albany trails and regroup at the Center for post workout activities including snacks and camaraderie in an amazingly beautiful and relaxing facility that lends itself to a supportive environment. Training walks are designed and distributed in our e-newsletters.

About Our Perks
